How Far I'll Go

Hello and welcome to my first blog post! I decided to start writing a blog about my adventures in Florida because there are a lot of cool things to do here that a lot of people don't know about and I'd love to share it all with you! For my first post I will tell you a little about how I ended up in Florida.

I was born and raised in Santa Rosa, CA in the beautiful Sonoma County. I sure do miss it there but one thing that comes with living in the wonderful wine country means cost of living is extremely high. My family and I got to the point that we realized we would never be able to afford a house there and we had family in Florida. My husband was a student commuting to Oakland everyday in two hour commutes and the school was getting moved even further. One day we decided that we needed a change and since his school had a campus in Casselberry, FL so we decided that moving was the best decision for us. Unfortunately, we would be leaving our families behind but I did have two aunts, several cousins and a grandpa out here. At the time I was pregnant and due in June 2018 with a little girl. We had planned on leaving after the baby was born so I wouldn't have to deal with a new doctor and all that fun stuff that comes with changing doctors. We used this time to find a place which was a headache but we found something while I was in the hospital, something affordable! I gave birth on June 10th and two weeks later we were on the road to sunny Florida. 

We have now been in Davenport, FL for a year and two months and it has been the best time of my life! Our lives have definitely changed for the better although I do miss a lot of Sonoma County! During this time, we have become Disneyworld and Universal passholders (my husband is actually a ride mechanic for Universal now), we are in the process of buying a house, we convinced my mom and brother to follow us out here (trying to get my sister on board!) and we gone on a ton of adventures which you will be reading about!
