Chicken Guy!

Are you a fan of Food Network shows like Diners, Drive-ins and Dives or Guy’s Grocery Games? Then Chicken Guy is the place for you! Chicken Guy! is owned by the amazing Guy Fieri and Robert Earl and together, they have created the ultimate chicken experience!

THE CHICKEN

Chicken Guy! Is known for their amazing all-natural chicken tenders which are brined in fresh lemon juice, pickle brine, buttermilk and infused with fresh herbs giving them the best flavor. You can choose from grilled or fried but I highly recommend the fried as they have an amazing crunch to them. Each tender is hand pounded to give them that ultimate crunch and there are over 40 sauces to pair with them!

You can order chicken tenders in increments of three or five and each include your choice of two sauces. You can also make it a combo with fries and a drink! They are also available on the Kid’s Menu which comes with two tenders, one sauce and a choice of fries, fruit cup or applesauce. Other Kids’ Menu items are a Grilled Cheese and Mac Daddy Mac ‘N’ Cheese.

THE SAUCES

With so many sauces, there is sure to be at least one flavor that suits each individuals’ tastebuds! The sauces are categorized into Guy’s Favorites, The Classics and Hot ‘N’ Spicy.

Guy’s Favorites: Special Sauce, Donkey Sauce, Ranchero, Curry Mayo, Wasabi Honey, Cumin Lime Mojo, Garlic Parmesan and Avocado Crema.

The Classics: Bourbon Brown Sugar BBQ, Buffalo, Bleu Cheese, Buttermilk Ranch, Lemon Pepper, Honey Mustard, Teriyaki and Sweet ‘N’ Sour.

Hot ‘N’ Spicy: Chipotle Ranch, Nashville Hot Honey, Peri Peri, Habanero Hot Sauce, Spicy Mayo and Sweet Sriracha BBQ.

My personal favorites were surprising to me as I am usually a simple BBQ sauce person, I tend to go for a honey BBQ or a teriyaki but Guy’s sauces are so full of flavor, I couldn’t resist certain ones. My absolute favorite was the Nashville Hot Honey because it had the perfect amount of spicy and sweet and wasn’t overpowering. It is made with honey, red chilies, cayenne, garlic and onion and seems like it would be super spicy but the honey really calmed it down!

Another stand out that shocked me was the Wasabi Honey. I absolutely despise wasabi and almost didn’t try it but knew I needed to and I was surprised at how good it was! It is made with wasabi, honey and lime and again, the honey makes it taste amazing! I also really appreciate the beautiful, bright green color it has! I normally do not normally enjoy sweet and savory mixed together but the sweet sauces with the chicken almost reminds me of the popular dish chicken and waffles.

As far as the classics go, I was impressed with the Lemon Pepper as most lemon peppers I have had have been a rub or seasoning and I truly prefer a sauce with my chicken. The Lemon Pepper is a mayo base with honey, lemon and black pepper and it is a good balance of tart and sweet.

Overall, every sauce was good, even the Buffalo and I am not a big fan of the spicy, vinegar tartness that comes with a buffalo sauce. If you are a fan of spicy, the spiciest was probably the Peri Peri or the Habanero Hot Sauce but even those weren’t too much which I appreciated. Some places have sauces that are so hot that you can’t even taste what you’re eating. I know a lot of people prefer that but you will not find that with these.

SANDWICHES & SALADS

Chicken Guy! Offers more than just chicken tenders. There is a whole menu full of salads, sandwiches, sides and more! On this visit, we got to try two of their Signature Sandwiches which all include two chicken tenders and you can choose between crispy and fried.

The first one was The CG Classic which comes with cheddar, Special Sauce and LTOP (lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle). The Special Sauce is a mix of ketchup, mustard, mayo, pickle juice and a mixture of Chicken Guy! Special spices and seasonings. This was great and so perfect for anyone that wants a burger or sandwich but still desires those delicious chicken tenders!

The second one we tried was the Big Bite B.L.A.T. which comes with crispy smoked bacon, lettuce, avocado crema, tomatoes & buttermilk ranch. This one was my favorite out of the two because I love bacon and avocado! The Avocado Crema and Buttermilk Ranch were the perfect blend of sauces and really gave this sandwich the perfect touch!

We also tried the BBQ Chopped Chicken salad which comes with crispy romaine, slaw, cheddar, black beans, tomatoes & crispy tortilla strips, served with bourbon brown sugar BBQ & buttermilk ranch sauces. If I eat a salad, this is the kind of salad I appreciate! I love when a salad is fully loaded and can be treated as a meal! The chopped chicken on top was the highlight of the whole dish and who knew that BBQ sauce on a salad actually tasted good! I swear there is lettuce and other good stuff under all that chicken! Chicken Guy! also offers a Chopped Chicken Caesar and a Mexican Street Corn salad.

THE SIDES

There are some delicious sides to choose from as well as some shareable sides that could be a meal in itself! Sides include Chicken Guy Fries that are seasoned with a signature fry seasoning, Fried Pickle Chips served with Buttermilk Ranch Sauce, American Slaw and Mac Daddy Mac ‘N’ Cheese. Fried pickles are a staple in my household so we loved those and the fries were amazing, my daughter devoured them!

Shareable sides include Loaded Fried and Loaded Mac Daddy Mac ‘N’ Cheese. We got to try the Mac ‘N’ Cheese and I don’t think I’ve ever been so full in my life! This amazing side was smothered in SMC (super melty cheese), chopped crispy or grilled chicken, bacon & green onions, we had it with crispy chicken and it was phenomenal! This can easily be shared with an entire family as it is huge and so filling! Other than the chicken, this was the highlight of the night and what I recommend most off this menu!

THE SHAKES

If you still have room for dessert, their shakes are so good and very unique in flavor! We tried the Apple Cinnamon Cereal and Triple Double Mint shakes and both were so good! The Apple Cinnamon Cereal is made with hand-spun vanilla soft serve, Cinnamon Toast Crunch© & Apple Jacks© cereal and fresh whipped cream and tastes just like the milk in a bowl of Apple Jacks and was my favorite! My husband and daughter preferred the mint shake which is made with hand-spun mint chocolate soft serve, crushed Oreo© cookies, chocolate mints, chocolate syrup and fresh whipped cream. They also offer Vanilla, Chocolate, Strawberry and Oreo shakes if you like a more traditional flavor. You really can’t go wrong with these shakes!

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

Overall, they are taking plenty of precautions to ensure the safety of their guests as well as their employees. There is a limit to how many people can be in the building and they have outdoor seating available to help with crowding.

There are plexiglass protective barriers at the registers as well as at the pick-up area.

There is also online ordering available for pick up if you don’t feel comfortable staying to eat. You can either scan the QR code on this outdoor menu or order online at ChickenGuy.com and choose the time you would like to pick up.

OVERALL THOUGHTS

I am very pleased with Chicken Guy! And will definitely be frequenting this place more often. As far as restaurants in Disney Springs goes, this is the best bang for your buck! It is higher end chicken and sides at an affordable price and well worth every penny! Every item we tried exceeded our expectations and I couldn’t recommend them more!

A little fun fact about me is that I am actually from the same city that Guy Fieri resides and its really nice to see a part of home in Disney Springs. Guy actually shopped at the grocery store I worked at which was really cool to see him progress through his career. I have the upmost respect for him and look forward to see what else this genius can come up with!

Thank you Chicken Guy! For hosting us!
