Southern Women's Show Orlando 2019

The 2019 Southern Women's Show in Orlando was a great event that I will look forward to going to every year! This event ran from August 26th-29th at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando. This wonderful event is targeted for woman who are into fashion, health and beauty products, jewelry, delicious food and so much more! Oh, and dare I say Firefighters! Yes there were Firefighters dancing on stage Magic Mike style! No nudity was performed! Darn!

Some more exciting things going on here is they have amazing food demonstrations and this year Katie Dixon from The Next Food Network Star and MasterChef was a celebrity guest chef. I absolutely love the Food Network so I was excited to see that she was making an appearance. There were a few other guest chefs making stage appearances as well including local Chef Eric Santiago from Primo at JW Marriott Grand Lakes, The Roaming Gourmet Chef Ze' Carter and Chef Joy Williams showed off some EasyPeasie Veggie Blends, author, health coach, and nutritious food Chef Carly Paige and Chef Kareen "Chef Coco" Linton to name a few. Another amazing guest for all you Dancing with the Stars fans was Maks Chmerkovskiy! I haven't kept up with Dancing with the Stars for the past few seasons but I know he is a talented dancer and has won a few of them. 

Each day they had a Spotlight Stage where features vendors were able to go up and speak for about 30 minutes about their products, how to use them and why we should use them. BeBalanced Hormone Weight Loss Center spoke daily about terrible womanly things we all go through including PMS and hot flashes and they even had Hormone Bingo! There was also chocolate bingo with The Cocoa Exchange! The beauty industry was represented by Cherry Blow Dry Bar, Katiuska Hair Gallery, Couture Med Spa and Level-Thrive Experience. Mad Science brought some fun into it all with their Make Something Awesome Using Science demonstration and even Ketel One Botanicals got to show off their products which I love! I really enjoy the Cucumber & Mint vodka in a Mule, such a delightful drink! Ketel One Botanicals along with Baileys Almande was hosting the Exclusive Girls Night Out Experience on Friday night as well. This included a VIP shopping experience at the Orlando Premium Outlets with a private bus and so much more!

Throughout this four day event there were fashion shows showcasing beautiful clothing from various shops including a dog show and like I said above, firefighters! They put on their own show and that alone was worth a trip to this show! Once Upon a Party had Princesses walking around and taking photos with the little ones and on Sunday they had a story time and sign-a-long. As a Disney lover, I absolutely loved this! Although the firefighters put on a good show and the princesses were all so magical, I went to this show for the exhibits. I love going to the exhibit booths at events like this, it's the thing I look forward to the most at fairs because I love shopping and I love seeing products that I don't normally see in stores. Since there were literally hundreds of vendors and I cannot cover them all, I chose just a few to showcase. 

One of my favorite vendors to see is Nothing Bundt Cakes! They are always so moist and delicious and since I cant choose just one flavor, I left with four! My favorites are the pumpkin spice, chocolate chip, raspberry white chocolate and pecan praline. The cream cheese frosting on these cakes is beautifully and skillfully decorated and are just sweet enough without being too overpowering. I could probably eat one of these a day if I wouldn't gain any weight!  

Gatorland brought some of their famous reptiles with them including a snake and a gator, of  course! I pet them but I was too nervous to hold them, reptiles and amphibians are just not my thing, for me, they are better to look at. They are really amazing creatures and I almost held the snake but my nerves got the best of me. If you've never been to Gatorland, definitely check it out! There is a discount for Florida residents! 

 

Medieval Times was also there and gave my little one a crown. I thought this was adorable as she was so happy to get it! Medieval Times is an amazing dinner show with live entertainment consisting of knights, kings and queens, jousting and swordfights! Its like nothing you've ever seen before and the actors are all so talented in their performances which include some crazy stunts and acrobatics. One of my favorite parts of this experience is the meal which you get to eat with your hands like back in the Medieval times! Yes, I enjoy feasting with my hands once in a while, it also makes for less dishes! This is a must do event with your family! 

We also got to see some non-human vendors including an awesome German Shepard dog from Sit Means Sit Dog Training demonstrating how well behaved he is! This was really cool and I wish I had put my dog in training classes when she was younger. She does whatever she wants now in her old age, haha! Polka Dogz Pet Rescue also brought some amazing little pups with them but I failed to take pictures since I was giving them lots of well deserved love. They were so cute and all so well behaved. If you are searching for a pet, please consider this place or any shelter first before contacting a breeder. So many animals are being abused and killed and end up in shelters, they need a good loving home. 

 

One of my favorite things they had was the selfie experience area! They had several different backdrops for amazing picture opportunities and I just had to partake in them! There was confetti, balls, blow up toys, everything you need for the perfect selfie setting!

The Southern Women's Show is a must do event for any mom, daughter, sister, aunt or grandma. If you want a ladies dat out, this is the perfect spot for you and your girls! If you are a fashionista, there's something for you, if you have to have the newest skin and beauty products that are trending, there's something for you here, if you enjoy delicious food and want to find easier ways to cook at home, there's something for you! This event caters to all types of women so you will find something you love here.
