Having A Spectacular Time At The Bourne Stuntacular

Have you ever wanted an action-packed show complete with pyrotechnics, fighting, gunshots, stunts, freefalls, moving buildings and so much more?

If the answer is yes, then check out The Bourne Stuntacular, Universal Orlando’s newest show! This show is so great but keep in mind that photography/videography of any kind is strictly prohibited!

The Bourne Stuntacular is a “see for yourself” type of show. It is so intense that you will leave thinking that you were actually a part of it! This show is easily the best show at any theme park in Central Florida right now with its amazing mix of live action stunts and technology! From the first second you walk into the queue, you are immersed into the world of Jason Bourne!

There are walls of photos from the films and even a motorcycle and car on display!

The Show Experience

As someone who has never seen any of the Bourne films, it was easy to follow what was going on. You are briefed before going into the show and, without giving away too much information about the plot, you follow our “hero” Jason through several countries where he is being chased by a rogue special ops team. Some want him dead; others just want him detained.

The technology is so advanced in this show that it’s hard to tell what is live-action and what is on the screen. We see Jason jump off buildings and hang from a helicopter. We see him being shot at, riding a motorcycle and even take part in a car chase scene that is straight out of a movie! All of this is happening on a stage and shared with a huge LED screen measuring 28-feet tall and 130-feet wide!

The acting and talent in this show is top notch! It is so advanced that they have every movement down to the second! If they were off one bit, it would make the scene unrealistic as they are moving to each punching sound, each bullet, each kick. It is all done perfectly to the timing of the audio/sound effects. The physical strength that the actors use through the entire show takes a ton of strength and endurance. All of this makes the show so realistic, you would think it was real.

Although there is not an age requirement for this show, parental discretion is recommended due to the mature themes or frightening images. This show also has a lot of sudden loud bangs and gunshots. As a result, it may not be suitable for those that have hearing issues as well.

Social Distancing and Safety Measures

When you first go in, you enter a large room to watch the pre-show. Team members put your entire party into specially marked squares that are 6 ft apart. These squares are very organized and placed evenly in rows.

When the pre-show is done, team members escort two rows of guests at a time into the auditorium. Each party is guided to their seats. Team members are placing guests 1-2 rows apart and several chair lengths in between each party. You are required to keep your mask on throughout the show. Once the show is finished, they ask you to wait until your row is asked to stand and exit through an assigned door. It is a very organized process and they clean and sanitize all chairs and surfaces between each showing.

Final Thoughts

When hearing that Terminator was going to be replaced by a Bourne show, one would think there is no way the two could compare, nothing could top Terminator. I went in with my doubts even though I have never seen the Bourne movies and came out a whole new person! This show is a definite must see if you are visiting Universal Orlando! It has become my favorite show in central Florida and I definitely recommend it to people of all ages!
